Summer 2015 Music and Nature Camp
This Unique program combines the best in Music Education with outdoor awareness activitties on our 6 acre wooded property in Mechanicsville Virginia. The program is uniquely designed to help any musician improve on their chosen instrument as well as start a beginner on any instrument of their choice! Each two-week session (yes you can sign up for just one week) culminates in a concert for parents and friends. Nature Activities include: Hiking, Animal Tracking, Plant identification, Fire starting (safely), beginning survival techniques, Nature awareness, and even Metal detecting for artifacts... remember these were civil war grounds!

All Levels of Musicians,
Very Beginner (never touched an Instrument)
though Expert!
Central Virginia's secret is out, MaKo Music is the ideal music learning environment for children of all levels. From the very beginner to the first chair, there is alot to learn and alot to improve on, and we have a record of not just teaching, but creating lifetime positive relationships with Music!
Combining Musical education with outdoor education is a natural fit. The connection with music as well as nature will be established for a lifetime! The kids will be busy all day long and will sleep well at night!

Where?
Mako Music II (Aka The White House)
The camps will take place at "MaKo 2", also known as "The White House"
at 7147 Mechanicsville Turnpike. This unnassuming property is optimized through Nature and Hard Work to be ideal for this camp.
The Inside is divided into performance and teaching rooms, with a full basement finished as a teaching/performance area.
Outside, on our 5 and a half acre property there are Nature Trails, a giant beaverdam, and "Nature Stations" Created for our Nature Activities.

When?
Two week and One Week Sessions
All Summer
Starts June 22nd, Ends August 21st
The camps are designed to work in two-week sessions, but one-week sessions can be done as well. They take place over 8 weeks this summer.
Camp Activity hours are 9:00 A.M. -5:00 P.M. but extended hours are available for parents who need it from 7:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
