We combine the absolute best in music education, (teaching, facilities, curriculum, principles) with the idea that music is used to connect with each other. Whether it be in a band, from performer to listener, kid to parent, or in a myriad of other ways, music is lnguage we use tocommunicate and connect with each other.

Group/Band/Ensemble Lessons.
The hall mark of the Mako Music program is our Group Lesson Program. Kids are placed in bands and learn music much faster and much better than those who just do private lessons.
Group Lessons are optional but are highly recommended. With the combination of the group and the prviate lessons, students get a complete music education that we believe can not be to compared to any other local program.
Recitals/Public Performances
All students will have opportunities to play at regular recitals and grioup concerts. Group lessons and recitals are the "why" to our program. "You take lessons, you play an instrument, but why?
A typical recital has over 100 peple in attendance and is in a professional setting. performances have included an entire week of christmas performances on WRIC (Channel 8) Virginia This Morning.
